Your Chance To Support The 2014 Canadian Obesity Student Meeting
Wednesday, March 12, 2014Regular readers will be well aware of the many activities of the Canadian Obesity Network, not least of which is the support of the next generation of obesity researchers and health professionals.
One of the key activities of the Network is the biennial Canadian Obesity Student Meeting (COSM) that brings together students and young trainees working on various areas relevant to obesity prevention and management from across Canada and beyond.
This meeting is entirely organised and run by the Canadian Obesity Network’s Students and New Professionals (CON-SNPs) and provides an opportunity to showcase some of the best obesity research as well as network in an informal setting.
This year’s COSM will be hosted by the University of Waterloo, June 18 – 21, 2014.
Todays post is an appeal to my readers to consider supporting this meeting by helping raise money for
– Travel support for students and trainees from across Canada;
– The recognition of high calibre trainees through awards;
– Bringing in top tier guest speakers to the meeting.
Please visit the Indiegogo site to show your support for this meeting – every $ can make a difference.
