Obesity Management Course At Obesity Summit
Tuesday, April 21, 2015With only a week to go before the 4th National Obesity Summit in Toronto next week, here is a pre-conference course on obesity management that readers may find of interest.
The full-day course runs on April 28th and provides basic clinical information and tools to effectively treat patients affected by obesity and associated conditions. Participants have the opportunity to earn CME hours for attending this prepcourse.
Participants can expect to gain the knowledge, motivation, and confidence to create and run a weight loss and treatment program and come away with an in-depth understanding of obesity medicine and new techniques to incorporate in their practice.
The course is targeted at anyone who would like to acquire basic clinical information on obesity medicine or persons interested in an overview of obesity management (GPs, nurses, other healthcare professionals). This course is also a good review for those considering taking the American Board of Obesity of Medicine (ABOM) certification. Six of the eight faculty are in fact diplomates of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and are very familiar with the requirements for this certification.
Pre-registration is required for this course and as of yesterday, there were 8 remaining spots. Space is limited and an additional fee of $50 is applicable for this course.
